Party to corner PDP-BJP Government on host of issues: Saroori, Aijaz
Srinagar, October 05: In a bid to
corner the PDP-BJP coalition Government, the Congress party today moved another
adjournment motions in the legislative Assembly and Councils for Tuesday
seeking regularization of Rehbar-e-Taleem (ReTs), National Youth Crops (NYC)
casual laborers, daily wagers, HR workers, NYC, contractual staff, Adhoc, HR
workers, casual labourers and other labours working in different departments
who have completed seven years of service as per the norms in vogue.
The Congress legislators submitted
adjournment motions in Legislative Assembly and Councils for suspension of
entire business on Tuesday and taking up discussion on the motions moved by
them in both Houses of the Legislature.
The resolutions moved by Congress
MLA from Inderwal Ghulam Mohammad Saroori along with Aijaz Ahmad Khan, Usmaan
Majid, Choudhary Akram, Mohammad Amin Bhat, Haji Abdul Rashid Dar, Mumtaz Khan
and Ghulam Ahmad Wani wanted suspension of the Assembly business on Tuesday and
discussion on regularization of daily wagers, ReT's and other labours.
Congress leaders said the similar
adjournment motions have been moved by Congress MLC Ghulam Nabi Monga and other
MLCs in the Upper House for Monday. Congress has 12 members in the Assembly.
Congress party wants to corner the Government on host of issues and expose
their differences.
Legislative Assembly Speaker Kavinder Gupta said that the Assembly Secretariat has received adjournment motions from the Congress legislators for discussion on Tuesday. A decision on the adjournment motions will be taken as per the Rules and conveyed to the House during its next sitting on Tuesday, Speaker added.
