Congress leader exchanges New Hijri Year greetings with Muslim people



Greeted Hindu peoples on Navratra

Jammu, October 14: - On the occasion of the New Hijri Year and the anniversary of the Prophet Mohammed's (PBUH) Hijri, Senior Congress Leaders including Ghulam Nabi Azad, Ghulam Ahmed Mir, Ghulam Mohammad Saroori, Jahangir Hussain Mir, Ghulam Nabi Monga and others have exchanged greetings cables with Muslim people.


In their cables, Congress leaders has expressed their sincere greetings and best wishes of good health, happiness and a long life for the Muslims, praying to Allah the Almighty for the return of this happy occasion on them and make the New Year, a year of further progress, welfare and prosperity for their faithful people and all Muslims wellbeing and progress.


Congress leaders have also greeted Hindu people on the eve of Navratra. In their message of felicitation, Congress leaders highlighted the State's rich tradition of celebrating the holy occasions and observed that the Navratras have a special significance for the devotees, who visit the Holy Caves in large numbers during this auspicious period.


The Congress leaders hoped that this auspicious occasion would be the harbinger of harmony, brotherhood, amity, sustained peace, progress and prosperity in the State.
