Long pending demand fulfilled by Saroori
Thathri, October 21: - A long pending demand of the people of sub-division Thathri has been fulfilled by Member of Legislative Assembly from Inderwal G. M Saroori by identifying the land for the construction of Government Degree College Thathri in Inderwal constituency.
In a meeting at Dak Bunglow Thathhri which was chaired by Mr. Saroori last month with SDM Thathri Mr. Qayoom Mir and other officials of sub-division Thathri. Saroori directed the SDM to visit various spots for the identifying of land for the construction of the College.
In this regard SDM Thathri along with the GDC College Principal, Tehsildar Kahara and other officials of PWD (R&B) department and other prominent officers of the area visited various spots. After the hectic work the suitable place is proposed at Upper Thathri of district Doda where there is about 50-80 kanals of plain land.
Moreover the owner of that land has agreed to give the land for the establishment of the college after Mr. Saroori has personally talked with him. The authorities have now directed to place fresh indent for acquiring the said land for the construction of GDC Thathri. Within few weeks the process of land acquisition papers could be initiated at an earliest.
People of sub division Thathri have hailed the efforts of Mr. Saroori for identification of land for the construction of Governemt degree college Thathri. They further said that MLA Inderwal is committed to provide basic amenities and good governance to the people at their door step. They have expressed their gratitude thereby fulfilling a long pending demand of the people of the area.
