Saroori express grief over the loss of life. Thanks CM for releasing 1 lakh each for victims.



Accidents have become a routine affair but no concrete action has been taken from government side save precious human lives.

Plying of old model buses is the reason of road mishaps in Erstwhile Doda District.

Kishtwar, April 12: - Expressing grief over the loss of precious lives in the tragic road accident, Former Minister and Member Legislative Assembly (MLA) G M Saroori has demanded deployment of more SRTC buses in the hilly districts. “The mishap occurred when two-seater passenger bearing no JKO6 1361 was on way from Kishtwar to Sarthal skidded off the road and rolled down near village Dori Sarthal of District Kishtwar,"

Saroori conveyed his heart felt sympathies and solidarity with the bereaved family and prayed for eternal peace to the departed soul. He also prayed for the early recovery of those injured in the accident. Those injured in the accident should be provided free of cost medical treatment, he added. He regretted that such accidents have become a routine affair but no concrete action has been taken so far by the government to save precious human lives.

When accident took place Saroori appeal to Hon'ble Chief Minister J&K Omar Abdullah to immediately release Rs 1 Lakh in favour of victims and with in no time Chief Minister had release the ex-gratia in favour of the victims. Saroori thanks CM Omar for releasing the said amount in favour of the victims.

Saroori also demanded deployment of more SRTC buses in the hilly district especially Bhalessa, Khara, Bunjwah, Sarthal, Saroor, Chatroo, Thakrie and other areas besides undertaking strict checking of the vehicles plying on these roads besides imposing ban on use of mobile phones by the drivers. He regretted that such accidents have become a routine affair but no concrete action has been taken so far by the government to save precious human lives. He also demanded to take effective steps in checking frequent accidents adding that the government should direct Traffic Police to keep a strict check on overloading and plying of old model buses due to which road mishaps have become a routine affair.

It is worthwhile to mention here that four persons Naib Chand resident of Agral, Noor Din resident of Angara, Raj Vali resident of Ladsa and Safia Begum she was wife of Raj Vali. Those critically injured are Baji Ahmed S/o Noor Mohd, he was a driver and Shree Lal S/o Gussan Lal. Both of them have been shifted to Kishtwar hospital in the morning but within an hour Divisional Commissioner Pardeep Gupta on demand by Saroori has send an Army chopper and the injured one have been shifted to Government Medical College Jammu.

Later Saroori visited GMC Jammu and asked the doctors about the status of injured and directed them to extend best Medicare to them for their early recovery.
