April 30: - Former Minister and MLA Inderwal Mr. Ghulam Mohammad Saroori
visited far flung areas of Saroor were given enthusiastic and rousing reception
by the people of the area.
While
addressing mammoth gatherings at Lass, Dhar, Londhri, Neju, Kokarwas, Tatani,
Kalchanda and Chalasu of Block Drabshalla in tehsil Kishtwar on Tuesday, Mr
Saroori said that projects taken in hand on completion would change the socio-
economic profile of the people of the area.
Mr.
Saroori called upon the people to co-operate with the administration for
carrying forward the developmental agenda of the Government which is committed
to provide all basic facilities to the people. He, however, urged upon the
officers to speed up the process of resolving public issues with
professionalism.
He
appealed the Panchs and Sarpanchs to work for the development and progress of
their respective areas.
Earlier,
local representatives apprised Mr. Saroori about their demands and problems.
People demanded various projects which include Tatani Bimalnag road, Londhri
Shroute road, extension of tourism and water body at Bimalnag, PHC at Tatani,
clear of MGNREGA payment, CAPD depot at Tatani, electrification of uncovered
areas was also demanded for the area.
Mr.
Saroori listened patiently to the demands and grievances of the people and
assured for early redressal in a phased manner on priority. He also inspected
various development works under execution and informed the people that the
Chalasu to Tatani road which PMGSY is constructing at the cost of 8 crore and
other ongoing roads projects of the area will be completed at the earliest
beside Tatani to Bangar road will be on cards as Union Government had sanction
Rs 10 crore for this road project under CRF which was the long pending demand
of the area.
On the
occasion various people from BJP, PDP and NC joins in Congress fold including
Sarpanch Lass Ganesh Kumar, Panchs of Lass Panchayat Des Raj, Shariefa Begum,
Pritam Kour, Aashiq Husssain, Raj Kumar Chairman Adalti Lass Panchayat, Vijay
Chand, Bansi Lal, Bir Singh, Gh Hussain Lone, Shahid Hussain, Gh Hussain
Khurwaey, Ratan Lal along with their 250 supporters from Lass, Londhri and
Tatani panchayats. While welcoming new incumbent Mr. Saroori said joining of Mr
Ganesh Kumar and others has strengthened the party and that they will jointly
work for the development of the area.
Among
others who attended the function including Om Prakash Shan, Mohd Iqbal Keen,
Mohd Sultan Malik, Akhtar Hussain Tatani, Bashir Ahmed, Kalash Chander, Ved
Prakash, Hari Ram, Mohd Sharief Naik, Mohd Amin Khurwaey, Ch Issaq, Jagdish
Raj, Ashok Kumar, Ch Qasam Din, Mangat Ram, Duni Chand, Khursheed Ahmed and
officers of various department accompanied Mr. Saroori during the tour.
