Kishtwar, September 14: - Vice President JKPCC and MLA Inderwal, Ghulam Mohammad Saroori today expressed deep sorrow and grief over the loss of human lives in the unfortunate accident in which at least seven persons died after a vehicle bearing no JK17-3829 they were travelling in skidded off the road and plunged into deep gorge in mountainous region of Paddar in Kishtwar district.
The passengers were travelling in taxi on the way from Sohal to Gulabgarh in Kishtwar, when it plunged into the gorge late yesterday evening. The deceased were identified as Nitish Kumar son of Naib Singh resident of Matti, SPO Rajinder Singh son of Suram Singh resident of Tatti Ligri, Sonam Notap son of Somnath Bodh resident of Kabban, Mohinder Kumar son of Ram Prasad Megh resident of Matti, Manak son of Lekh Raj resident of Kundal, Yograj son of Prem Nath resident of Matti and Piyare Lal resident of Dhundhi.
In a message, MLA Inderwal G M Saroori expressed his sympathy with the bereaved families and prayed for eternal peace to the departed souls.
Mr Saroori also reiterated his concern about the pressing need for the Police and Transport departments, as well as the other concerned agencies, to take the all required measures, on immediate basis, to reduce the incidence of fatal road accidents in the Erstwhile district Doda.
He assured all possible help to the kins of the deceased and has appealed to Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir Mufti Mohammed Sayeed to immediately release the ex-gratia relief in favour of next kin of the deceased.
Meanwhile Ghulam Haider Sheikh, Mushtaq Ahmed Hap, Mahinder Singh Parihar, Piyaray Lal Shan, Mohd Aslam Malik, Khursheed Ahmed Bhat, Ravi Kumar, Piyaray Lal Sharma, Mohd Aslam Saroori, Mohd Iqbal Keen, Altaf Hussain Malik, Ghulam Qadir Sheikh, Rangail Singh, Teshi Dorjay, Rakhi Devi, Roshan Lal, Bhushan Lal, Dev Raj, Sewa Ram, Bansi Lal, Ravinder Kumar, Om Kar Singh, Sujjan Singh, Ram Krishan, Duni Chand, Shri Kant, Tilak Raj, Din Lal, Randeep Bhandari, youth congress leaders from Kishtwar and others have also expressed grief over the Paddar accident.
