Saroori welcomed newly joined DC Kishtwar


 
Apprised him about problems being faced by the people of Kishtwar

Kishtwar, September 17: - Member of Legislative Assembly (MLA) from Inderwal G. M Saroori today met Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kishtwar Saugat Biswas in his office chamber here at Kishtwar. He welcomed the newly joined DC and congratulated him for assuming his office.

Additional Deputy Commissioner, Kishtwar Kishori Lal and local Congress leaders including Mushtaq Ahmed Hap, Mohd Iqbal Keen, Khalid Hussain Sheikh, Santosh Kumar and others were present.


Saroori apprised DC Kishtwar about the day to day problems being faced by the general public of district Kishtwar and presented demands which include speed up of road compensation under PMGSY schemes, early start of construction work on sanctioned circular road Chatroo by which general public are facing hardship, immediate distribution of all relief to the incessant rainfall and flood affected families under State Disaster Relief Fund (SDRF) whose houses are fully or partially damaged, early start of construction work on sanctioned building for Government Degree College (GDC) Chatroo and speed up of construction work on Tourist Receipt Centre (TRC) Sarthal.


“To improve the health facility in the hilliest, remote and backward area of district Kishtwar”, Saroori said that more than 40 sub-centers were sanctioned by the UPA II government for district Kishtwar. He pressed for early start of these sub-centers so that the problems faced by the local people in regard to health care will be addressed at door step besides various other issues were discussed in the meeting.


He also demanded to call a meeting regarding finalization of Rehabilitation and Reconstruction (RR) plan of Kalnai Dunadi hydro electric power project at the earliest, so that common people may get benefited by means of development.


Saroori further pressed to DC Kishtwar to direct the concerned department for the early tendering of the sanctioned RAMSA School buildings in the district Kishtwar besides deliberating upon shortage of teaching staff.


DC Kishtwar gave patient hearing to the demands and assured Mr. Saroori that the issues will be looked into on priority basis for their early redressal.
