Saroori visits Saroor; called upon communities to work for strengthening the bonds of communal harmony

Saroor, May 16: - Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee Vice President and MLA Inderwal, Ghulam Mohammad Saroori has called upon various communities to work for strengthening the bonds of communal harmony and mutual brotherhood, which he said is must for a prosperous and healthy society.

The MLA Inderwal was addressing the gatherings at vllage Dhar, Khori, Lass, Neju, Kukerwas, Tatani, Piyakul, Banjar, Hura and Londhri areas of block Drabshalla.

The main demands raised by local peoples included improvement of surface on R&B road from Dugga to Tatani, black topping on PMGSY road from Chalasu to Tatani, early disbursement of compensation to land owners from Chalasu-Tatani road, installation of pipes from water house to near village of Banjar, payment to MGNREGA job card holders under 2015-16 year and fare distribution of ration.

Saroori said that the development of backward and remote areas is the thrust area of mine, adding that no stone will be left unturned to come up to the expectations of the people especially those belonging to the poor and underprivileged sections of the society, who have pinned high hopes with him.

Describing peace and unity as key to speedy development and socio-economic transformation, Saroori cautioned the people against some opportunist politicians who for the sake of petty vested interests try to divide the people and disintegrate the society. He asked the people to thwart the nefarious design of such elements and help in promoting peace and communal harmony, which is pre-requisite for the overall development of the State. He said democracy is the real strength of India where all communities have equal right to grow and contribute for the development of nation.

He asked the people to avail benefits of various welfare schemes launched in the area. On the occasion Saroori announced that sub-centre for Tatani area which was sanctioned by the then Union Health Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad will be made functional from tomorrow. He further said that from 2002 massive development has taken place in the rural and far-flung areas of Saroor with special focus on upgradation of road network, education, social welfare and health.

On the occasion Saroori announced one lakh each from his Constituency Development funds (CDF) for construction of protection wall at Madrasa Taleem-Ul-Quran Saroor and construction of bathrooms for Madrasa Ashraf Ul-Uloom Tatani and funds for the construction of ground for the academy of Tatani Saroori.

People of Saroor areas appreciated the efforts of Mr. Saroori for the upliftment of poor and needy. They asked the MLA Inderwal to continue his efforts for the welfare of common masses.

Earlier Mr. Saroori along with local Congress leaders visited the house of martyr Kishori Lal at his native village Dhar Khori. He paid floral tributes to the martyr and consoled the members of the family.

Prominent among those Akhtar Hussain Khurwaey, Bashir Ahmed Lone, Ved Prakash, Bashir Ahmed, Jagdish Raj, Mohan Lal, Ch. Gulab Din, Ch. Ismaeil, Ch. Jamal Din, CH. Hasham Din, Abdul Rashid, Master Sharief, Mohd Issaq, Akhtar hussain, Ghulam Nabi, Ghulam Haider, Mohd Shafi, Mohd Ashraf, Shahid Hussain, Ghulam Mohd, Ch. Bashir Ahmed, Nazir Ahmed, Moor Singh, Ramesh Kumar and people in large were present on the occasion.
