"My greeting to the Muslim community as the holy month of Ramadan begins. May this Ramadan month brings peace and happiness in everyone's lives," Mr. Saroori said in a greeting message.
"May this holy month also enhance the spirit of harmony and togetherness in Jammu and Kashmir," Mr. Saroori added. Ramadan is observed as a fasting period by Muslims, who abstain from food and water from sunrise to sunset.
