Congress leaders felicitated Saroori, Nizami on being nominated as party Vice President and Organising Secretary & Publicity Secretary JKPCC

Jammu, March 30: - Senior Congress leader and three time sitting MLA Inderwal, G. M. Saroori and Salman Nizami were today felicitated by the party activists for being nominated as Vice President and Organising Secretary & Publicity Secretary JKPCC respectively.

A large number of Congress leaders and workers received the newly appointed Vice President JKPCC G. M. Saroori and Organising Secretary & Publicity Secretary JKPCC Salman Nizami here today at Saroori’s residence Jammu.

Senior Congress leaders and party workers delegations from Bhalessa, Mugalmaidan, Chatroo, Jammu, Doda, Kishtwar, Bhaderwah and Udhampur met Saroori and discussed various political and public related issues.

A number of delegations including Piyaray Lal Sharma, Muneer Ahmed Sheikh, Ishtyaq Malik, Mushtaq Ahmed Malik, Musarat Naik, Mahinder Singh Parihar, Ghulam Nabi Mir, Molvi Ali Mohd, Vikram Singh, Yog Raj, Jagjot Singh, Sandeep Rissam, Sheikh Basharat, Advocate Shaik Saroori, Firoz Din Malik, Ghulam Mohd, Abdul Latief, Safdar Ali Wani, Bashir Ahmed Sirwal, Chowdhary Hasham Din, Ghulam Haider, Akhtar Hussain Parray, Asgar Khangi, Mubashar Azad, Seva Dal Activists led by Surinder Singh Manhas, Youth Congress led by Mohammad Latief Mughal (Rashid), Mahila Congress workers led by Rakhi Devi Chouhan, and other delegations called on the Vice President JKPCC, G M Saroori.

He (Saroori) gave them a patient hearing and assured them the redressal of their demands. He also advised the party activists to guard up and strengthen the party.

Speaking on the occasion, several leaders said that Saroori is a dynamic personality of Jammu and Kashmir and important pillar of State Congress leadership ‘who always fought for the cause of the people of J&K in general and Jammu & Chenab region in particular’.

Thanking the gathering, Saroori said that he will not let down the aspiration of people of Jammu and Kashmir and Congress workers and cadres and continue to serve for the cause of the people of the state especially erstwhile Doda district.

While speaking on the occasion, Salman Nizami thanked party high command for being appointing him as Organising and Publicity Secretary of J&K Congress.

He said with the trust and responsibility placed on me i will contribute to the party and my supporters in the best possible ways, work with all my zeal and zest for welfare and goodwill of people of this state and will assure media friendly correspondence.
