Kishtwar student died due to electric current; Saroori express deep grief


Kishtwar, March 08: - An Indian Air Force (IAF) helicopter airlifted a critical patient from remote Bani Thrankhle, which is presently disconnected from rest of the country due to heavy snow fall and landslide at Dunadi area. 

As per the details, the army chopper brought a pregnant lady identified as Shameema Begum (24) Wife of Manzoor Ahmed resident of Bani Thrankhle of Tehsil Khara district Doda to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMC&H) Jammu along with an attendant where doctors operated on her and saved the lady life but the baby girl died during delivery.

Doctor at sub-centre Thrankhle had advised the family members of the lady to immediately shift her to District Hospital Doda or to GMC Jammu in wake of non availability of specialist doctor as well as advanced facilities at Sub-Centre Thrankhle. However, due to closing of road at Dunadi shifting of the lady to Doda hospital was not possible by road.

The family members approached the local Member of Legislative Assembly (MLA) Inderwal, Mr. G. M. Saroori who immediately took the matter with Divisional Commissioner Jammu, Mr. Shantmanu for evacuation of the lady from Malanoo air strip to GMC Jammu. He also wished for early recovery of the Shameema Beguma.

In another incident a 10th standard student Vikram Singh son of Ranjeet Singh resident of Gonmarh Loie Dhar died due to electric current at his rented room in Kishtwar few days back. He has also condoled the death of Molvi Ahamdullah resident of Nali Bunjwah. He was the brother of Haji Amin Sheikh and uncle of Sarpanch from Nali Khalid Hussain Sheikh.

MLA Inderwal, Ghulam Mohammad Saroori has expressed profound sorrow and deep grief over the demises of Molvi Ahamdullah and Vikram Singh. He has expressed his solidarity and has conveyed his heartfelt condolence to the bereaved families and prayed to the Almighty Allah for blessing peace to the departed souls. He also prayed to Almighty Allah to give strength to the family members of the deceased to bear irreparable loss.
