Saroori visits Kuriya meets fire victims

Various deputations meet Saroori in Kishtwar

Restore electricity in Kishtwar & Doda: Saroori directed PDD authorities 

Kishtwar, March 13: - Member of Legislative Assembly (MLA) Inderwal, Mr. G. M. Saroori today visited the Kuriya area of district Kishtwar where the house of Mohammad Ramzan was gutted in a devastating fire incident.

MLA Inderwal expressed solidarity with fire sufferers. He interacted with the fire victim and assured him all possible support. He also directed the officers of Revenue department to prepare a comprehensive report about the extent of damage so that adequate compensation could be provided to the family.

Many deputationist from far-flung areas including Bunjwah, Saroor, Sarthal, Chatroo, Mugalmaidan, Chingam, Thakrie, Thathri, Kahara, Bhatyas, Bhalessa, Kishtwar and other areas also met with Mr. Saroori at his residence Kishtwar and put forth various issues pertaining to electricity, non-availability of basic facilities like Ration, drinking water, proper health care facilities, shortage of teaching staff in local schools, MGNREGA payment, SSA salaries, clearance of snow from roads and other day to day concerns.

Mr. Saroori patiently heard them and assured that their genuine demands would be taken up with the concerned authorities and would be addressed in shortest possible time.

He has also directed the PDD authorities in twin districts of Kishtwar and Doda to remain sensitive towards the grievances of people and make efforts to restore the electricity in a shortest possible time in the areas.

Saroori further said that his main aim is to provide better basic facilities to the people, particularly living in rural areas. He said road connectivity, potable drinking water, hassle free supply of Ration, health and education facilities would be improved further in these areas on priority.

Later Ghulam Mohammad Saroori also visited the residence of Mr. Gagroo’s, Sheikh’s, Naik’s, Sirwal’s, families at Kishtwar to personally condole the demises of their relatives who passed away in recent time. Mr. Saroori stayed with the bereaved families and expressed his sympathy and solidarity with them, offered fatiyah, consoled the family members and prayed to the Almighty Allah for eternal peace to the departed souls beside a place for them in heaven.

He also prayed to Almighty Allah to give strength to the family members of the deceased to bear irreparable loss.

Prominent among those Officers of various PDD, Education, Revenue, CAPD, R&B departments, local Congress leaders, Youth Congress Members, Sarpanches, Panches accompanied Mr. Saroori during the said tour to Kuriya and Kishtwar.
