Government should take Chatroo-Singpora Vailoo tunnel with GOI and implement the House Committee recommendations: Saroori

"Saroori raised issues during Planning and Development, CAPD, Transport, Agriculture, Floriculture, Animal and Sheep husbandry grants"

Jammu, March 30: - Member of Legislative Assembly (MLA) from Inderwal, Mr. G. M. Saroori took part in discussion on various department grants.

While taking part in Planning and Development department, Saroori said that government should implement all the decisions taken during the various board meetings till now.

“Implementation of Finance commission report and Swami Raj Sharma’s recommendation for preparation of planes,” Saroori demanded and said that plans should be formulated and submission of DPR’s in all sector be done on ground bases besides immediate implementation of plan of current year for early completion of works identified.

Saroori said that there should be proper planning for allocations of funds for districts and more allocation of funds to bad pocket area districts besides demanded equal distribution of funds to the districts as released by Government of India (GOI) under task force Commission.

“Government should take Chatroo-Singpora Vailoo tunnel with GOI as tunnel stands sanctioned by the previous government. By constructing this prestigious tunnel it which will be alternate route to Kashmir valley via Kishtwar Chatroo.

He demanded enhance of wages for the daily wages of skilled, semi-skilled and unskilled workers.

While taking part in CAPD department grants, Saroori said that the government should take up the implementation of food security act with the Centre government for providing the ration as per 2011 census and demanded enhancement of Ration scale from 35 to 50 kg per family.

“Supply of floor from Udhampur store is full of adulteration the people are not getting nutrition’s that’s why our children’s are facing malnutrition problem and are easily prey to vulnerable diseases”, Saroori said and demanded that the pure floor be supplied from the Jammu store.

He said that as per 2011 census the Government requires 3102 new Ration Depots for smooth distribution of Ration, he demanded opening of new Ration stores including in Inderwal constituency beside setting up more LPG outlets by giving priority to those areas where there is no LPG outlets.

Saroori said that the free ration which was announced by previous government is yet to be distribute among the victims of flood for the month of March and April, he demanded immediate distribution of free ration.

“Immediate fill the vacant posts in CAPD department,” Saroori demanded and adding that government should regularise all the Dhandi Daar sale dealers, 4th class employees and daily wagers who has completed their seven years of service in the CAPD department.

Saroori pressed to the Minister for CAPD for clearance of ration carriage in district Kishtwar and Doda which is around Rs 6 crores and 8 crores respectively.

While taking part in grants of Transport department, Saroori said that in order to minimize the number of accidents in Doda and Kishtwar districts, the Government must implement the recommendations presented by a House Committee in which Saroori was himself the member which had suggested measures for checking frequent road accidents. He demanded immediate implementation of recommendations made by house committee.

“Because of less number of SRTC vehicles Saroori said that passenger vehicles always remained overloaded in Doda and Kishtwar district resulting in accidents and has recorded the highest rate of accidents”, Saroori demanded immediate plying of more than 20 SRTC buses to Doda and Kishtwar District besides opening of Transport work shop at Kishtwar and Doda.

While taking part in the grants of Agriculture, Floriculture, Animal and Sheep husbandry, Saroori lauded the government for waiving of 50 percent KCC loan also for proposing an amount of Rs 150.00 crore in the budget estimates of 2015-16 is a good step. The government should relax the loan upto Rs.4 lakhs.

Saroori demanded opening of new seed centres in every panchayats in the state and distribution of fertilizers on time besides opening of Cold store in Kishtwar.

He further demanded that government should open new hatchery fisheries at Sigdi, Bunjwah, Sarthal and Kahara areas in Inderwal constituency and also demanded for opening of Animal and sheep husbandries centres in Inderwal besides giving poultry loan to poor people’s on subsidy base.

Saroori urged government for declaring Kishtwar as Saffron village to promote the local Saffron. He has also demanded global tendering of Padder Sapphire Mines and advocated for setting up of fast track system for exploring of these Sapphire mines that hold key to give boost to state economy.
