Fire broke out in Tehsil Pingal; five houses gutted

Saroori expressed grief over the damaged to the property; demanded compensation

Bhalessa, February 23: - Member of Legislative Assembly (MLA), Inderwal and senior Congress Leader Ghulam Mohammad Saroori expressed grief over the damage to property in fire incident at Budhli, Dar Mohalla, Tehsil Pingal Bhalessa in Doda district.

The fire broke resulting into major damage to the property in which five houses were completely burnt though no loss of life was reported. The owners of the houses are Mohd Shafi Dar, Javed Ahmed Dar, Din Mohd Dar, Arif Hussain Dar and Ghulam Qadir. The cause of the fire was unknown.

The timely action by SDM Gondoh Dr. Khalid Malik,Tehsildar Pingal Johnny Aryan and by local people prevented spread of fire which could have aggravated in densely populated market area having a number of buildings adjacent to each other.

Expressing sympathies with the victims, Saroori assured every possible help. He also directed the district administration Doda to carry out relief and rehabilitation measures for the fire incidents.

Saroori have appeal to the J&K Governor Mr N. N. Vohra to release Rs2 lakhs each as relief compensation in favour of the fire victims.
