Jammu, February 27: - National Conference leaders including the two candidates for the election of Member of legislative Council (MLC) Mr. Sajjad Ahmed Kichloo and Mr. Qaiser Jamsheed Lone met with Congress senior leader, Ghulam Mohammad Saroori (MLA Inderwal) at his residence here at Jammu to seek votes.
During a 60 minutes long meeting both contesting candidates of NC for the election of MLC which is schedule to take place on 2nd of March have requested the Congress MLA to vote in their favour.
Saroori assured both the candidates that as already decided by Congress high command that all the 12 Congress legislators would vote in the election for the two National Conference candidates.
It is to mention here that NC legislators had supported Congress candidate Ghulam Nabi Azad during Rajya Sabha elections held recently.
The vote of Congress legislators will decide Kichloo’s and Lone fate for MLC election. Congress has its 12 legislators and NC 15. Kichloo requires 17 votes and Lone requires 29 votes to win the two seats.
Later two National Conference leaders including Bashir Ahmed Veeri (MLC) and Sajjad Shaheen NC Leader from Banihal also met Saroori at his residence to seek Congress legislator’s votes for the National Conference candidates in the legislative council election.
