Congress demanded AIIMS for Chenab valley; Compel the Union Government for sanctioning another AIIMS: Saroori asked BJP MLA’s

"Congress brought two Central Universities and five Medical Colleges and now it is BJP turn”

Met with various deputationist from Inderwal constituency

Jammu, April 26: - Congress party today demanded All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) for Chenab Valley and asked the Government to do justice with Erstwhile Doda district.

While meeting with many deputationist from Inderwal constituency, Vice President JKPCC and MLA Inderwal, G. M. Saroori said, “Despite getting 25 seats from Jammu region, the ruling Party has done injustice with the Jammu people by allowing transfer of AIIMS to Valley”.

“We are not against Kashmir valley but we want justice with Jammu especially with Chenab valley as earlier an impression was given that AIIMS has been sanctioned for Jammu”, he said asking Centre government in order to provide justice to the Jammu region.

Saroori said “We brought two Central Universities to Jammu and five Medical Colleges and now it is your turn”, he said and asked the BJP MLAs to compel the Union Government for sanctioning another AIIMS to J&K which should be establish in district Doda or Kishtwar.

While meeting with many deputationist from far-flung areas including Kuchal, Bunjwah, Saroor, Sarthal, Chatroo, Mugalmaidan, Chingam, Thakrie, Thathri, Kahara, Bhatyas, Bhalessa and Kishtwar and put forth various issues pertaining to Kuchal road, electricity, non-availability of basic facilities like Ration, drinking water, proper health care facilities, shortage of teaching staff in local schools, MGNREGA payment, SSA salaries, repairment of Transformers and other day to day concerns.

Mr. Saroori patiently heard them and assured that their genuine demands would be taken up with the concerned authorities and would be addressed in shortest possible time.

Saroori further said that his main aim is to provide better basic facilities to the people, particularly living in rural areas. He said road connectivity, potable drinking water, hassle free supply of Ration, health and education facilities would be improved further in these areas on priority.

The prominent among those who met including Mohammad Ibrahim Sheikh-(Chairman Watershed Kuchal A), Nazir Ahmed Sheikh-(Sarpanch Panchayat C), Congress leaders including Piyaray Lal Sharma, Mansoor Ahmed Mattoo, Bashir Ahmed Sheikh, Master Ikhlaq Ahmed Dev, Mohd Amin, Riyaz Ahmed, Mahinder Singh Parihar, Youth Congress leaders including Sheikh Basharat, Firdous Ahmed Mingnoo, Vikram Bhandari, Tariq Babar and others.

Later Saroori also visits GMC&Hospital Jammu and met with various patients from district kishtwar and Doda.
