Srinagar, May 21: - Congress has scheduled a series of party
conventions in Chenab Valley, as part of mass contact programme, to have
broader interactions with party workers at grass root level.
This was decided in a meeting between President J&K PCC Mr. Ghulam Ahmed Mir and Vice President J&K PCC Mr. Ghulam Mohammad Saroori here at summer capital Srinagar.
Other senior leaders of the party, Legislators, former legislators, Office bearers, Youth Congress, Sarpanchs, Panchs, workers, members shall attend these programmes to bring better coordination in the organizational setup.
"The party has started the process to activating the grass root cadre in order to gear up for a vibrant role of the party to take up the issues of the public in wake of an unholy alliance of BJP & PDP, ignoring the aspirations and issues of people", Saroori said.
As per scheduled, the district conventions will be held at Kishtwar on June 8th, Doda-June 9th and Ramban-June 10th.
Others who were present in the meeting including Haji Abdul Rashid-(MLA Sopore), Ghulam Nabi Monga-(MLC), Farooq Andrabi-(Spokesperson JKPCC) and others
