Promote local tourism, revive local craft it will boost the economic condition: Saroori called upon the People

Moharwari (Sarthal), May 03: - Member of Legislative Assembly (MLA) from Inderwal, G. M. Saroori today visited the Moharwari, Lava, Dada, Ladsa, Angara, Moulaan and Bhagran areas in Sarthal district Kishtwar and take stock of development works under execution in these areas.

While speaking on the occasion Sarpanch Karool, Mohammad Shafi Saroori briefed the MLA Inderwal, G. M. Saroori of the local problems and aspirations about the day to day problem being faced by them and put forth various demands which include filling of vacant posts In schools, compensation of roads, electricity to UN-electrify villages, improvement of water supply, MGNREGA payments, solar lights and black top on roads.

Addressing the gathering, Saroori said to further spread the network of banking facilities in Inderwal constituency soon a Corporative bank branch will be opened in Moharwari Sarthal. He said the facility will benefit thousands of people in the Sarthal area as this was the long pending demand of the locals. He informed that the branch shall provide CBS (Core Banking Solutions) facilities to the inhabitants of the area.

Saroori lauded the role of Sarthal area in maintaining peace and brotherhood of the area and called upon the people to promote local tourism and also work hard to revive local craft as it will boost the economic condition of local population. He said that Peace is imperative for growth of tourism and people should maintain brotherhood.

He inspected newly constructed Forest Hut in Moharwari Sarthal and said the area has vast potential for promotion of tourism activities and said that every possibility would be explored for creation of tourist related infrastructure there and lauded forest department work.

Saroori also inspected widening of Hasti-Sarthal Devi Ji road which is constructed under CRF at an estimate cost of 15 crores, 12 km long Sarthal-Bhagran road which is being constructed by PMGSY department at an estimated cost of 10 crores and Duri-Ghan road which is constructed by PMGSY department at an estimated cost of 6 crores. He said that by connecting various remote and inaccessible villages with the main land, the necessary connectivity is being provided to these which would ensure their socio-economic development, besides ensuring that the pace of development in other spheres of life is also accelerated.

He directed Executive Engineer R&B Babar Ahanger and Executive Engineer PMGSY Mohd Ashraf Gilkar to immediately speed up Hasti-Sarthal Devi Ji and other roads in Sarhal areas as large number of people from across the state and outside take part in the Sri Sarthal Devi Mata Yatra every year beside personally monitor and complete these three road project on time bonded period.

Saroori also announced that the solar lights will be provided to the deserving families of Sarthal villages within a week’s time.

Prominent among those SSP Kishtwar Yugal Manhas, SHO Kishtwar Sameer Jeelani, DFO Kishtwar, Ranger Khalid Munshi, Forester Irshad Giri, R&B officials, Congress leaders including Mohammad Shafi Saroori, Master Ikhlaq, Mushtaq Ahmed Hap, Mahinder Singh Parihar, Ravi Shan, Satish Sharma, Santosh Kumar, Ranjeet Singh, Tek Chand, Kailash Chander, Brij Lal, Gir Dari Lal, Lassa Mir, Bodh Raj, Dharam Singh, Abdul Subhan, Zakir Hussain, Abdul Qayoom Gagroo, Khursheed Ahmed Gagroo, Mohd Amin, Riyaz Ahmed, Subash Chander, Ram Bhagat, Surinder Singh Baloria, Babu, Brig Lal, Thakur Lal Devali, Purvi devi, Chowdhary Ismaeil, Chowdhary Kaloo, people in large accompanied Saroori during the said tour.
