G. M Saroori kick started work on PMGSY road from Agral-Lava


Announced 1840 lakhs premixing work would be started soon on Hasti Sarthal road

SARTHAL, JUNE 06: - “Roads are important not only for our economy but also act as carrier for cultural exchange by abridging the distance,” said Member of Legislative Assembly from Inderwal, G. M Saroori who was speaking to the people after kick starting the work of Agral to Lava road having 2.5 Kms length.

The work will be executed by PMGSY with an estimated cost of Rs 100 lakhs. This road would connect several hamlets of Moharwari, Gamrah, Lava and benefit hundreds of students and Aganwari centers apart from connecting individual households, Saroori said and added that efforts for connecting every village of Sarthal with roads started since 2002 year.

The MLA Inderwal was accompanied by officials of PMGSY, Revenue, RDD, Education departments.

Saroori said that concerted efforts are on to improve road network in the Inderwal will help to improve rural connectivity by providing all weather motorable roads. He added that several roads have been taken up under PMGSY and Central Road Funds (CRF) which will help to give better connectivity to Sarthal area.

He also announced that in the year 2009 Hasti Sarthal Devi ji road was sanctioned under CRF due to his hard efforts and stage I work was completed recently. He said that the project for stage II (mettling, shingling and premixing) project was send to higher authority for sanctioning and soon Rs. 1840 lakhs project work would be started which will give sigh of relief to the common people, thus fulfilling long pending demand of the Sarthal area.

Saroori said that on completion of this prestigious project a vast population of the area would be benefited, adding these people are presently confronting multiple hardships due to inadequate road communication. He also visited site of ongoing development works in Moharwari areas and passed instructions to the officers for time bound completion of these works. He met with local people and took feedback from them on the availability of essential services like water, power, ration etc.

He interacted with various deputations and gave patient hearing to their demands and problems. He passed directions to the officers to redress the issues projected by people related to the shortage of basic amenities. He assured that the demand put forth by the people will be addressed on priority and in time bound manner.

Saroori also visited higher secondary school (HSS) Sarthal and took a round of each classroom & interacted with the students. Being the student of this school, Saroori said will try my level best for becoming HSS Sarthal as a model HSS school. On the demand of the student community, Saroori announced 80 new type desks, construction of tyle work in all the 10 no. of classrooms and in ground premises of the school. He also assured them that their other problems will be mitigated soon.

He further paid visit to PHC Sarthal and took stock of the functioning of the institution. He also interacted with the doctor, patients and attendants to enquire about their difficulties and facilities besides this he inspected the construction of 100 bedded girl’s hostel at Sarthal at a cost of Rs. 2.50 crores under RAMSA.
