Saroori distributed solar lights among 120 families


Interacted with school children’s in Balgra Drabshalla

DRABSHALLA, JULY 23: - Under remote village electrification scheme, Jammu and Kashmir Energy Development Agency (JKEDA) distributed 21 solar lights among residents of Sigdi village of Tehsil Mugalmaidan and 100 solar lights to different villages including Patnazi, Nali Bunjwah areas of district Kishtwar.

The solar lights were distributed during a function at Tehsil headquarter Drabshalla and at Sigdi where G. M Saroori MLA Inderwal was the chief guest on the occasion. Prominent among those Officials of JKEDA, RDD, CAPD, Revenue and local Congressmen were present on the occasion.

While speaking on the occasion, Mr. Saroori stated that list of all those habitations which were not covered under RGGV scheme and are located at far off places have been proposed to be benefited by the solar lights and more than 7,000 solar lights have been distributed from the last six years. He said that he (Saroori) is fully aware of the problems being faced by the people of the area and measures have already been taken to mitigate the sufferings of the people.

Saroori said that he has already submitted another list of left over 114 villages of Inderwal constituency to Union Government through JAKEDA for sanctioning of solar lights and only after the sanctioning of same, the other all left over beneficiaries will get solar lights in Inderwal constituency.

Congress lawmaker also visited Balgran, Nagni, Patshalla areas to personally condoles the demise of various persons who died in recent past in the areas. He along with local Congress leaders stayed with the bereaved family and expressed their sympathies and solidarity with them. They prayed to the Almighty Allah for eternal peace to the departed souls.

Saroori also visited high school Balgra and conducted an interactive, innovative and friendly discussion to gather their views, hear their problems and said that he is happy to meet the children and teachers.

While interacting with the children’s, they informed there are 360 students in the schools and till last year there were 18 teachers posted in the school but recently 13 teachers have been attached in the cities.

Without delaying, Saroori took the matter with Director School Education Jammu that take steps on a war footing to fill vacancies in teacher’s posts in various government schools in Kishtwar and Doda districts and detach all the teachers posted in HS Balgra area of Drabshalla education zone so that student community won’t face any hardship in the future.

Taking dig at coalition PDP-BJP government, Saroori said that government transferring the teachers from the schools, should focus on filling the vacant teaching posts in various schools and colleges. He said that recently government order transfer of several teachers from Marwah, Warwan, Padder, Chatroo, Mugalmaidan, Jakyas, Bhatyas, Kahara, Bunjwah, Thathri, Saroor, Sarthal, Thakrie, Kishtwar, Bhalessa and other areas on political base and keeping the student community at lurch at the mercy of the god. He said that the education department shows helplessness in posting of teachers in the rural schools and asked government to take immediate steps to fill up all the vacant posts of teachers under the Education Department so that sufficient number of teachers can be posted to the schools to improve the studies of students.

Saroori also had a group photograph with the childrens and assured their problems will be solved on priority. He also advised the school children’s to focus on education which will help them in bringing success and happiness to their lives in future.
