NALI BUNJWAH/PATNAZI, MAY 27: - Member of Legislative Assembly from Inderwal, Ghulam Mohammad Saroori held a Public Darbar in Dramni area of Nali Bunjwah to address the public grievances and take firsthand account of the problems being faced by the people living in far flung areas.

The MLA Inderwal Inderwal was accompanied by Tehsildar Bunjwah, BDO Bunjwah, ZEO Drabshalla, TSO Drabshalla, AEE PMGSY, Forester Bunjwah, other officers from CAPD, Rural development, PHE, Forest, PMGSY, watershed, revenue departments. The Darbar was attended by a large number of people who apprised the MLA about their problems and developmental needs related to power and water supply, education, filling of vacant posts in the schools, medical facilities and road connectivity in area and sought redressal of their grievances.

Saroori said PDP-BJP Government in the State is not committed to the welfare of public in any spheres. State government failed to follow the principle of “Sabka Sath, Sabka Vikas” and failed on all the front to address any problem faced by public.

He said that I have chalked out a schedule to conduct the public darbars programs on a regular basis where anybody can approach for any type of social or political problem to them. He heard the people and gave on the spot instructions to the concerned officials present during the darbar to immediately solve the same and whatever has been brought into his notice, should not be heard in next darbar. He made it clear to the officials of different departments to submit the details as to what actions have been taken to mitigate the sufferings of the people within 15 days of time.

Saroori said that he is very much concerned for the development and welfare of the people across the Inderwal constituency and hence the motive of holding the public darbar is to have direct interactions with the people, who may otherwise be suffering on account of non cooperative approach of some department. He said that the local leaders too have been highlighting the problems being faced by the people and every effort is made to ensure that different departments, which have direct public dealings, are further geared up and people are provided a friendly administration at all levels.

He also said that people of Bunjwah have to face really hardship due to deplorable conditions of Dunadi to Patnazi road, in which 1st 13 km shall be handed from JKPCC to R&B, as the order stands already issued due to my hard perusal. He further said that till date more than 30 times tender has been issued on PMGSY roads from Kewa Pul to Tipri and Tipri to Patnazi under Phase IX but no contractor is ready to submit the bid due to low rates. He said few months back he had a meeting with Commissioner Secretary R&B, CE PMGSY and in that meeting it was decided that two projects from Inderwal constituency shall be send to GOI for sanctioning to which new technology shall be used for improving the condition of the road”, Saroori said and hope that soon the two projects shall be sanctioned. He further said that there was no road connectivity in Bunjwah area before 2002 and today more than 80 kms have been constructed and said that roads have bought the people close to each other, adding no village or hamlet of the area would be left unconnected, he maintained. He asked the engineers of PMGSY department to immediately prepare Detailed Project Reports (DPRs) of villages including Tipri to Patshalla, Basharat village to Chakroon village and Mislaei to Kurar areas of Tehsil Bunjwah.

Saroori also announced that electricity for few un-electrified villages of Bunjwah which stands sanctioned by UPA II government under RGGVY phase II and due to negligence & inefficiency of state government to start the work on Rs.100 crores project. He directed the PDD department to immediately start the work in Kither, Kurar, Kanoo, lower Burdhar and Upper Burdhar areas of Tehsil Bunjwah department so that people of this backward area will get sigh of relief.

During the public interaction, Mr. Saroori assured people that their genuine grievances would be addressed on priority.

Later Mr. Saroori, who was addressing a Congress workers meeting at Patnazi area of Bunjwah while winding up his two days tour of the area and said that Congress party has brought real democracy in the State by challenging hegemony of the BJP and PDP.

Taking a swipe at Bhartiya Janta Party for exploiting people, Saroori said that from the last three years backward, far flung and hilly areas had to suffer at the hands of PDP-BJP who have presided over the worst form of Governments in the State. “Encouraging nepotism and corruption, mal-administration etc are the only achievements of the three year long mis-goverance of the PDP-BJP regimes in the State”, He mentioned and added that PDP-BJP leaders have build their own empires within and outside the State at the cost of the poor people of Jammu and Kashmir. Calling upon the people to put their faith in Congress, he said that Congress party was committed to throw out this present worst ever corrupt and rotten system and to establish a system of justice, transparency and equality.

Earlier after the public meeting held at Nali Bunjwah area, the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) and Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) suffered a big blow as its two dozen workers including Ex Sarpanch Farooq Ahmed Want joined Congress Party in presence of Mr. Saroori. In a simple function held here, two dozen PDP and BJP workers joined the Congress party and expressed to resolve to work for further strengthening the party in Bunjwah belt of Inderwal.
