People looking towards Congress to get rid from the mis-governance and mal-administration done by PDP-BJP: G. M Saroori


People of J&K have realized that only Congress has vision to solve their problems

Five dozen BJP workers joined Congress party in Patshalla area of Bunjwah

TIPRI/JAWALAPUR, MAY 26: - Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC), Vice President and MLA Inderwal, Ghulam Mohammad Saroori today said that Congress party has emerged as the most relevant alternative to the PDP-BJP in the entire State and the people of all regions and sub-regions of the State are looking towards Congress to get them rid from the mis-governance and mal-administration of present coalition PDP-BJP.

Addressing impressive public meetings in Tipri Patnazi, Layan, Anthwan, Sharek, area Bunjwah tehsil, Mr. Saroori said that Congress during its tenure has proved how to deliver good governance to the people. He said that Congress has set an example of good governance and carved out a path of equitable development.

“It was during the tenure of Congress that all regions of the State were empowered and there was equal distribution of power”, Saroori said, adding, “People of Jammu and Kashmir state too have realized that only Congress has vision to solve their problems”. “Congress has earned credibility of the people through its convictions and commitments. We want to change the present system with people’s support and cooperation,” he said and urged the people to support Congress to implement the pro-people agenda. “People have realized that only Congress has the vision and conviction to solve their problems so they have pinned their hopes on Congress”, Saroori said, adding, “programmes and policies of the Congress are formulated after incorporating wishes and aspirations of all regions and sub-regions of the State”.

Taking a dig at present dispensation PDP-BJP for its failure to fulfill promises made with the people, Saroori said, “While Congress can claim many achievements during their tenure both on political, development and governance front, the present regime has failed to all fronts”. Responding to the demands raised by locals, Saroori said special problems of the far-flung areas should be keenly focused to ameliorate lot of the residents of such backward areas.

Later addressing the function to welcome five dozen BJP workers in to the Congress party, Saroori said he was extremely delighted with their joining and a big boost for the party in the area."It is a matter of satisfaction that Congress has emerged as strong political force not only in Inderwal but in whole state as well as a credible voice of the people of Jammu and Kashmir."

Saroori said the Congress agenda of peace and development was now seen positively in all the community, region and sub-regions. He said their entry into the Congress will further expand party's base in the hill regions Tipri, Patshalla, Nakki, Gantora, Haryara, Khalara. This will also help to strengthen communal harmony in the region, he said.

They newly activists said that BJP had failed to start any development activities in the area and both communities - Muslims and Hindus - were exploited by the BJP for "petty political interests". They said most of the good decisions about development of hilly and backward areas were taken by Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad in the past. "It is our hope that in future also Chenab region will get adequate attention under the leadership and guidance of Ghulam Nabi Azad and Ghulam Mohammad Saroori," newly joined workers said.

Prominent among those Mohamad Iqbal Keen, Khalid Hussain Sheikh, Shamas Din Butt, Chowdhary Isshaq, Chowdhary Misroo, Ishaq Nakki, Romesh Kumar, Dyan Chand, Chowdhary Israeil, and others also spoke on the occasion.
