Saroori expressed grief over death of two persons in the road accident in Kuligad Drabshalla


PDP-BJP failed to address Batote-Kishtwar road emergent issue will all sensitivity

Delay is leading to loss of precious lives on almost daily basis

JAMMU, APRIL 23: Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) Vice President and MLA Inderwal, Ghulam Mohammad Saroori today expressed grief on the death of two persons in the road accident and two others were injured on Saturday in Kuligad Drabshalla area of Kishtwar district when a landslide hit a vehicle they were travelling in.

All the occupants belonged to the same family. Anju Mahajan and her 15-year-old daughter Purvi Mahajan died on the spot, while the husband of the deceased woman, identified as Bupinder Mahajan sustained injuries along with a seven-year-old boy.

Saroori conveyed his condolences and sympathies to the bereaved families and prayed for eternal peace to the departed souls. He called for a ‘Comprehensive Action Plan’ for containing rising number of accidents in Chenab Valley. “The State Government must take immediate steps to address this issue as delay is leading to loss of precious lives on almost daily basis. It is an emergent issue and State has to address it will all sensitivity which they failed from the last more than two years,” he said and regretted deep anguish that while over a thousand innocent persons lose their lives in recurring road accidents every year, PDP-BJP government have still to implement strict tangible measures to remedy the situation.
