Prevailing chaos and uncertainty in the State was result of the failure of the present regime to connect itself with the common masses
KUCHAL, JUNE 01: - Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC), Vice President G. M Saroori observed that the State has been plunged into “unprecedented crisis due to complete failure of the PDP-BJP regime”. He emphasized on the need of taking the people of Jammu and Kashmir out of morass and prevailing uncertainty.
Saroori said while addressing the public meeting at Kuchal, Mullar, Kandwar Chingam area of sub-division Chatroo.
Launching a scathing attack on PDP-BJP coalition for prevailing “mess and uncertainty” in the State, Saroori regretted that during the last three years, the present regime has spoiled the peaceful atmosphere which was created by the Congress government.
“What is happening after formation of PDP-BJP Government in 2015 is before all of us”, he said and pointed out that during the three years, corruption has crossed all limits and the Government, through its “deceit tactics”, has brazenly “eroded sanctity and credibility” of all democratic institutions.
Mr Saroori said prevailing chaos and uncertainty in the State was result of the failure of the present regime to connect itself with the common masses. “From the day one when this Government was formed, there is instability and uncertainty in the State”, he added. Observing that change in imminent in J&K, Saroori said that present coalition tenure would be remembered as “dark-period” in the history of Jammu and Kashmir.
“During our regime we had not only restored peace in the State but also created atmosphere for accelerating developmental activities”, he said and added that present regime has derailed the process of peace and development in the State. “Under present regime alienation among people has increased due to governance deficit because this regime has failed to connect itself with the people”, he said and listed various incidents which occurred during the tenure of present Government.
Saroori said that Congress, during its tenure, had proved how to deliver good governance and how to establish transparency and accountability in the system. “I don’t want to praise our Government but people of the State now compare our achievements with the three years long “mis-governance” of PDP-BJP regime”, he said and added that Congress had established a system of Governance which earned credibility and acceptability of the common masses.
He availed this opportunity to mention that from 2002 to 2014 1,000 ReT teachers and 800 Anganwari workers were appointed with total transparency in the recruitment process. “By translating its promises into realities, Congress had earned faith and credibility of the people”, he said, adding, “Unlike other political parties Congress has never bartered aspirations of the people of the State for enjoying power”.
Saroori also demanded deployment of adequate staff in health centres, streamlining supply of power and water in Kuchal, Mullar, Kandwar Chingam and adjoining localities. This government, instead of solving problems of people, is resorting to cosmetic acts for camera and displaying flashy and expensive cars to make their presence felt, he said and added the government is completely missing from the ground.
Later Mr. Saroori also inspected lower Kuchal to Upper Kuchal road constructed by R&B department along with R&B engineers and other officials. MLA Inderwal asked the executing agency to work in double shifts and ensure completion of the road so that people will get benefited from this.
